So here goes- 46 year old artist/musician/gamer used to skate and snowboard. Had several solo art exhibitions in the Cambridgeshire area since 2000. I turned to art as a kinda recovery activity in around 1999 as lots was going on at home and Uni. 
Unfortunately dropped outta Uni for mental health reasons and was admitted to the local psychiatric ward. 
Lost my mum in 2004 which was a massive shock and started to paint more and more as a coping mechanism. But a year later ended up back on the ward in 2005 and had my longest admission which lasted 8 months! Met lots of really nice and cool people who have similar mental health problems too. Even to this day keep in touch with American friends across the pond as we have Zoom chats which is very therapeutic.
